So this weekend we played in Oklahoma City. It was a blasty for sure. Tapwerks, which will probably be our new home in the City of Oklahoma, was more than receptive and flat out awesome. We would like to thank everyone that came out as well as Box Talent for hookin us up with the show yo.

Everything was ALMOST normal about the preshow. The whole loading in down the insane ramp and into the ancient elevator that was older than the act up "up." It was a lot of fun. Nothing crazy though. No Elvis impersanator complaing about TFN wanting to "move his stuff, its his stuff," being a glass of water and a stool, like their was in Memphis. Or the 100% Navajo/Cherokee/I can't remember dude that we met outside the Bricktown Brewery (first time in OKC) that yelped, yes yelped, in a drunken fashion when we asked him questions about himself. He was proud of who he was and we are sure he is very happy right now. I guess there is also the guy at the Gypsy in Fayetteville who had no interest in seeing us before we played, that was of course until we told him we played AC/DC. This guy was a cowboy from 1971. He ended up getting kicked out of the bar before we played the song. I guess I have to mention the drnuk biker at Cool Water who danced as if he were in heaven, which would probably include LSD, during Hotel California, which was being played during a Chad and Travis show in 2005. I could go on forever. I shalln't.

All I can say, is that this show, with Matt Jones included in it, was probably one of the most fun shows TFN has ever had. Everything from stump the band to the Dave Matthews jam with Matt. In was tons of fun and we all laughed so hard we almost wet ourselves on many an occasion. I will show you a video that has crazy weirdness on the way to the show. This might be an indication of how strange the show ended up. Enjoy.

TFN and B-Dubs

So I'm not sure if you have experienced the incredible goodness that is Buffalo Wild Wings, but we here in Thanks For Nothing are well aware of the positive AND negative effects of such a delicious calorie container.

Jacob, Chad, and I, Travis, try to support our local B-Dubs (Buffalo Wild Wings) by eating there at opportune times. I would like to take this time to share the TFN favorites of the Buffalo Wild Wings menu.

Jacob:

Jacob first introduced me to this flavor. At first, I was skeptic because the sauce always looks dried up on the chicken, and after a while, It doesn't look like something that should be going IN, if you know what I mean. It was a pasty off white weirdness. BUT...PARMESAN GARLIC ended up being one of the greatest things I had ever laid the buds to. Jacob enjoys these delicious wings, usually boneless. I have nothing but trust for him after he told me about these things. Great googly moogly.

Jacob also likes the dipping action of the Chili-Queso. Spicy, yet flavorful. Being the wonderful young man he is, he likes to share with his peers, which always makes him a PERFECT B-Dubadeer.

Chad:

Chad is the newest of the B-Dubadeers. He has grown quite a fondness of the Honey BBQ dipped in Ranch. I believe the first thing he said after trying it was, "Holy crap, who woulda thought, bbq and ranch?!?!?" I'll tell you who, B-Dubs. Chad "I want" Moore has yet to find a second option, though he hasn't really tried hardly any. Apparently not being a Buffalo Wild Risk Taker, he sticks to the same thing, thus driving fellow dubadeers crazy and whipping them into a frenzy racing to be the first to "open his eyes" to a new flavor.

Brandon:

Brandon has yet to try, or sall we say, become obseessed with, the goodness. I was going to post a funny horrible photoshopped pic of him, but I opted with the alien with jet pack playing a rubber bass aka Ninja Turtle Rocker aka alien ninja turtle with jet pack and rubber bass. He will become a lover of B-Dubs soon. Maybe we can get him to buy one and have us all eat there for free.

Travis:

I for one, love the boneless wings. Thursdays is 50 cent boneless. It's incredible. Comes in a choice of 8 or 12 and must I say, yes, I mix. I will get half of one thing, half another, with extra ranch. favorite sauces, Mango Habenero, Spicy garlic, parmesan garlic, carribean jerk, asian zing, hot hippity wild wings they are delicious.

Must I ALSO recommend the ribs. I know this blog is a vegetarians worst nightmare, get a salad you haters, but I don't care. The boneless wings/ribs platter with potato wedges is probably the best thing since sliced anything.

There you have it. The fuel that TFN runs on. Enjoy and eat at B-Dubs often.

Little Rock (March 21st blog)

Today
children, I come bearing bad news. The Thanks For Nothing band (Thanx
4 Nothin, Thanks 4 Nothing, Thnx For Nuthin), as wrong marquee’s always read, will NOT be appearing in Springdale at the Pontiac tonight. Chad left his voice in the first set in Little Rock Last Night. We had our good homie Josh Green get up and sing a Matchbox Twenty song and Vanilla Ice, which as Cleveland would say, "That’s
nice."

One of the bartenders was celebrating her last night in town before
moving to LA. She was DYING to hear Boston, which is high pitched
like bananas, um, thats bananas, b.a.n.a.n.a.s. Voice blown out
from sickness + Boston equals Tiny Tim singing Boston. For those
you that don’t know who Tiny Tim is... This guy...

Other than that, Matt Jones opened. He is freaking talented as, a person that is super talented, but more. We got up and played with him, it was quiet enjoyable!

This is us semi-rocking.

Oh yeah, and I can’t go without mentioning who happened to grace
us with his presence again. By the way, there are not photoshop
effects in this picture, this is actually what he looks like when
he plays...Incredible.

In all seriousness people, we appologize for not being able to perform tonight. Lets hope Chad gets better and drinks his water by the gallon. Thanks guys, see ya later.

PS:
Ashley Simpson sucks. Bad. (Statement not true for A.Simpson fans)

Next up: Oklahoma City
